According to Research and Markets, “the overall fax service industry will increase from $925 million in 2007 to $1.665 billion in 2012, a 12.5% compound annual growth rate (CAGR).” Although this forecast takes into account the overall industry, a large portion of the revenue from the industry is apportioned to the internet fax segment and this segment’s piece of the pie is likely to continue to get larger in the future. Even though the forecasted 12.5% growth rate isn’t as high as the 25% growth rate the industry experienced in the early 2000s, a growth rate of this magnitude is still significant.
